Mike's Bikes is seeking both aspiring and experienced hands-on individuals to join their dynamic Tech Department as a Bike Technician. WHAT DOES YOUR DAY JOB LOOK LIKE:

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

-Ideally 1+ years of experience with bicycle maintenanceย 

-A quick learner with technical aptitude and great communication skills

-Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

-Comfortable working with your hands and using tools regularly

-Physically up for it! Lifting bikes, climbing ladders, and moving around the store is part of the gig

-Comfortable chatting with customers in person and on the phone

-Capable of standing for long periods and performing repetitive motions

-Motivated to succeed in a goal-oriented, fast-paced environment

-Flexible and available to work weekends as needed


HOURLY RANGE: This compensation package will be dependent on experience, qualifications, and industry experience with a starting range between $18-$26/hr plus a bi-weekly bonus potential of $250. Experienced techs can potentially earn between $22/hr-$26/hr.ย 

Requirements

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English.

The ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds' solo and up to 50 pounds' shoulder to height repetitively throughout the day. Vision may be corrected within normal range. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
