Job description

Shift:

  • Wednesday-Sunday - 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

 Flexibility to start shift in the field and not commute to the warehouse in Alexandria, VA

Job Summary:

As Veo's Brand Ambassador, you will serve as an on-the-ground presence in the Georgetown, National Mall, and Wharf service areas, ensuring vehicle availability, customer experience, and brand visibility throughout your shift. This role blends technician work with community engagement - you'll keep vehicles compliant and customer-ready, keep sidewalks clear, and serve as a visble, approachable representative of the Veo brand. Your impact will be measured by vehicle availability, sidewalk compliance, and the quality of the customer experience in your service areas. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Sidewalk Management: Ensure sidewalks are clear and free from improperly parked vehicles.
  •  Vehicle Compliance: Relocate vehicles to designated bike racks or approved parking areas.
  •  Quality Control: Inspect, test, and prepare vehicles to ensure they are customer-ready.
  •  In-Field Repairs: Conduct basic in-field repairs using standard technician tools.
  •  Rebalancing: Redistribute vehicles within Georgetown and The Wharf to optimize availability.
  •  Documentation: Submit before/after photos of work completed and track touches for rebalances and
    repairs.
  •  Visibility & Safety: Wear a branded safety vest at all times, in compliance with the Employee Manual.
  •  Community Engagement: Serve as a visible representative of Veo - answer customer questions and
    provide directions when approached.
  •  Check-Ins: Complete daily Slack check-ins at key points in the shift (arrival in Georgetown, transfer to
    Wharf, end of shift).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience performing basic scooter maintenance or field repairs (or willingness to be trained).
  • Comfortable working independently outdoors and on foot for extended periods.
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable engaging with the public.
  •  Reliable and detail-oriented, with the ability to document work accurately (photos, touch tracking).
  •  Energetic, self-motivated, and passionate about sustainable, community-focused transportation.
  •  Ability to navigate city streets and public spaces confidently (on foot and by e-bike/scooter)
