Job description

Responsibilities

Sentinel is seeking a ICT Design Engineer to lead the design of low-voltage and ICT systems for commercial and institutional projects. This role is responsible for creating client-specific solutions spanning structured cabling, wireless, data centers, AV, and physical security systems. You will develop design documentation (AutoCAD/Revit), cost estimates, and specifications from concept through construction, while collaborating closely with architects, MEP teams, and clients. The role includes leading requirements discussions, reviewing submittals, and supporting construction through site visits and coordination meetings. Ideal candidates bring experience in technology systems design, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a consulting environment.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of consulting experience in the design and specification of ICT systems and spaces, security systems, and audiovisual systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field is desired but not required; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • Detailed design development, bid/permit, and construction drawings and written specifications utilizing AutoCAD and Revit
  • Detail-oriented with excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage projects independently as well as collaborate with team members on larger projects.
  • BICSI Certification (active RCDD or test-ready) or CTS certification are preferred.
  • Ability to leverage existing industry relationships with architects, project managers, and MEP engineering firms to develop new business opportunities.
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a "can-do" attitude
