Job description

We’re seeking a skilled and experienced paralegal to support our growing legal team. The ideal candidate for this position will use their work experience and organizational skills to prepare and maintain legal documents, file motions, interview clients, and conduct legal research. $49,000 yearly


Responsibilities:
  • Conduct client intake interviews, gather financial and supporting documentation, and maintain accurate case files from initial consultation through case closure.
  • Manage bankruptcy case workflows, including tracking deadlines, preparing petitions, schedules, and related filings for attorney review.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, required documents, court dates, and procedural updates while providing professional and empathetic support.
  • Maintain case management systems and calendars, monitor filing deadlines, and organize electronic and physical records in compliance with firm procedures.
  • Assist attorneys with pre-filing preparation, meeting scheduling, document review, and general administrative support related to Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters.

Qualifications:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
  • Candidates who have completed a paralegal professional certification or have advanced paralegal education will receive preference
  • Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting (preferred).
