The Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is a non-profit ministry that is dedicated to “Educating and Cultivating Servants for Christ”. We are a middle and senior high school committed to high academic standards. Our biblically-integrated, college-preparatory curriculum is delivered by a dedicated staff of Christian professionals. We are committed to teaching from a biblical worldview and philosophy. We are committed to providing our students with experiences that will foster in them a servant’s heart, including extra-curricular activities, inter-scholastic athletics, music, theater, short-term mission trips, and numerous service opportunities. Job Summary

Provide support by implementing the instructional programs designed by the primary teacher. Guide and motivate students to reach their full academic potential

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Carefully follow and implement all lesson plans
• Engage students in the days activities, with clear instructions and understanding of the lesson
• Follow policies and procedures outlined in the Student/Parent Handbook and Faculty Handbook
• Exercise open and respectful and timely communication with families, co-workers, supervisors, and other school staff
• Manage student behavior and administer biblical discipline in accordance with outlined guidelines
• Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and on the school campus that always aligns with the CVCA missional boundaries
• Innovatively and appropriately bringing Chromebooks and other technologies into the classroom to amplify and accelerate student learning
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or commensurate experience
• Appropriate Ohio Department of Education licensure

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

• Work is typically performed in a conventional classroom environment.
• Ability to handle frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and moving throughout the classroom
