Job description

Senior Data Analyst/BI Developer
Our client, a software product company in the asset management space, is seeking a Data Analyst. This is a senior level, permanent/direct hire position. The employee will work a hybrid schedule, 3 days a week in the office ideally. Their office is located in Glen Allen/Richmond, VA.

What will you do?
  • Collect, process, and clean data from various sources using SQL
  • Will use BI tools to form and understand key business trends, issues and opportunities
  • Develop scalable analytical solutions such as tables, datasets, models and dashboards
  • Conduct Ad-hoc analysis that helps the business better understand key value drivers and growth opportunities
  • Effectively communicate actionable insights across all levels to help clients experience cost savings
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners, including sales, operations and data team to drive analytical initiatives to completion

Required Skills/Certifications
  • BA/BS degree in math, statistics, engineering, computer science or other quantitative major
  • 2-5+ years of experience in a BI/analytics/operations role with strong cross-functional business collaboration
  • Ability to write very complex SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of Sales and CRM tools like Salesforce
  • Proficient in one or more programming language (Python, Java)
  • Experience in BI visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Self-starter attitude: You're someone who can initiate and drive complex analysis to completion with minimal guidance and then synthesize and communicate insights
  • Get-it-done mindset: You're motivated to work hard and efficiently in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment.
