Job Title: Supply Chain Category & Data Operations Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking a Supply Chain Category & Data Operations Specialist to serve as the operational backbone of our procurement team. You will be the primary orchestrator for the "front-to-back" lifecycle of our raw materials-managing the complex workflows that move a material from a new sourcing request to final production integration.
This is a "high-velocity" role. You will bridge the gap between our internal stakeholders (Quality, Regulatory, Product Development) and our external supply base. The ideal candidate is a master of data integrity and workflow management, someone who views every "process bottleneck" as an opportunity to implement a more streamlined solution.
Key Responsibilities
Workflow & Data Orchestration
• Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end management of procurement workflows, including new material "phase-ins," formulation updates, and vendor/ingredient setups. Ensure every request is tracked, verified, and closed within target timelines.
• Data Integrity: Serve as the guardian of our material and vendor databases. Collect, scan, upload, and maintain critical regulatory and quality documentation to ensure 100% compliance.
• Cross-Functional Champion: Facilitate weekly priority meetings with cross-functional teams (Product Development, Regulatory, Quality). Act as the central point of contact to ensure data availability and seamless workflow execution.
Supplier Performance & Strategy
• Supplier Governance: Deliver and optimize monthly Supplier Scorecards. Identify performance gaps and drive the communication process to resolve shipping, quality, or delivery escalations.
• Forecast & Inventory Management: Create and share monthly ingredient forecasts with top-tier suppliers. Maintain accurate inventory records and resolve pricing or volume discrepancies to ensure operational continuity.
• Sourcing Support: Assist in RFX processes, raw material scouting, and Secondary Sourcing initiatives to ensure we have a resilient and cost-effective supply chain.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: 4-year University degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
• Experience Baseline: Proven experience in a fast-paced procurement, supply chain, or data operations role.
• Technical Mastery: * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook).
oExperience managing complex workflows in an ERP system (e.g., AS400, SAP, or similar).
• Communication: Ability to manage high-pressure escalations with suppliers and internal stakeholders while maintaining a professional, "customer-centric" demeanor.
Preferred Attributes
• Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., food, pharma, or industrial materials).
• Demonstrated ability to "streamline" manual processes-if you see a way to automate a reporting task, you do it.
