Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer will be responsible for modeling complex data and problems, preparing data for reporting and analysis, and developing Power BI reports. This role supports the Data Science team's efforts to discover insights and identify opportunities through data mining, visualization, statistical analysis, and algorithmic techniques. The BI Developer's schedule and assigned tasks will be managed by the Data Science team manager.

The ideal candidate will bring the following characteristics:

Responsibilities:

  • Work with data of varying degrees of size and complexity, including both structured and unstructured data
  • Transform data into actionable insights and recommendations. This includes processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis. Present clear and concise results.
  • Collaborate with analysts to create dashboards and visualizations of processed data using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) to draw inferences and conclusions, such as identifying trends and anomalies
  • Process work requests in accordance with organizational priority. Work closely with stakeholders such as internal business teams and external clients to formulate quantitative and measurable objectives that have an impact on the business
  • Professional, courteous attitude with peers, colleagues and customers
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.
Technical Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in any quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Operational Research (Master's Degree is a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience working in an Analytics / BI Development environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric suite of data analytics tools
  • Highly proficient in data extraction and transformation (ETL) with SQL and Python / PySpark
  • Robust experience with data transformation, BI, and data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Strong skills in data exploration, analysis, and visualization with languages such as Python
  • Understanding of methods in statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, supervised machine learning methods, etc.)
Professional Qualifications:
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with experience breaking down a large problem into smaller, solvable components
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; with the ability to communicate the results of your work in meaningful ways
  • Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical groups across all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated, highly organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Work location: Hybrid. This role is largely remote with necessary equipment provided but will require working in our Town & Country, MO office for meetings or training. Working in-office is also acceptable if preferred.
  • Work Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday.
