Job Summary:
Georgia IT, Inc. is seeking an experienced Power BI Administrator to support the Big Data and Analytics department at Enterprise Products. The role involves administering the Power BI Service for over 700 users and collaborating with the Big Data team to meet reporting needs.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Responsible for providing full Power BI service administration โ€“ user management, workspace management, gateway administration, data source creation, monitoring, and troubleshooting
โ€ข Power BI Premium - workspace management, premium capacity monitoring, configure/manage workloads, and optimizing premium capacities
โ€ข Administering and managing the on-premise gateway server including patching and supporting custom connectors
โ€ข Troubleshoot reporting/connectivity issues related to gateway
โ€ข Assist in performance tuning of reports using Tabular Editor or DAX Studio
โ€ข Work with data owners and report developers to support their needs in the best way possible
โ€ข Grow and integrate Power BI Service by designing and deploying workspaces, data models, app tiers, gateways, report services, dashboard support
โ€ข Working in Power BI admin portal set up tenant settings, set organization visuals, and more.
โ€ข Utilize PowerShell and REST APIs to retrieve metadata, data refreshes, usage metrics and auditing
โ€ข Be able to access and work on Power BI licensing, subscriptions, or audit logs
โ€ข Configure data gateways for access to multiple data sources across the enterprise
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Preferably should have Technical/Science Graduation degree with specialization in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering or related discipline
โ€ข At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Data, BI, Insights, Reporting domain
โ€ข 3+ years of Power BI Service, On-Premise Data Gateway, and Report Server Administration
โ€ข Experience with Power BI for Compliance, Auditing, Data Privacy, Data Classification, Security and Controlling Access to Power BI
โ€ข Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering
โ€ข Good communication skills to interact with team members, support personnel, and provide technical guidance and expertise to customers and management
โ€ข Ability to work in a self-directed work environment
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience with CMD and PowerShell scripting for automation
โ€ข Good analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of applications
โ€ข Experience with Azure AD and O365 admin
