The Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA) at Roosevelt is comprised of three Conservatories: Music, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Theatre. Our faculty and staff maintain successful professional careers in their chosen fields alongside their commitment to training and educating our students in preparation to enter performing arts industries.
The Theatre Conservatory seeks an adjunct instructor to teach first-year courses in voice and speech. Our foundational course, Voice and Speech I, is offered in the Fall semester and is required of all BFA Acting, Musical Theatre and Musical Theatre Dance majors.
Applications will be reviewed immediately with an expected start date for the Fall 2025 & Spring 2026 semesters.
Compensation is based on student enrollment and course hours determined. For courses that carry fewer or more than three credits, compensation will be prorated down or up accordingly.

Successful applicants will have working knowledge of established techniques and pedagogies in professional voice development, such as Linklater, Rodenburg, and Knight-Thompson.

Preferred Qualifications
Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Acting, Theatre performance or related professional experience.
Equipment Operated
Studio sound system, basic office/ classroom equipment and Smart-classroom equipment (computer, monitor, projector and audio equipment).
Working Conditions
Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10-15 pounds).
