POSITION SUMMARY:  

Manages all warehouse activities.  Provide guidance, expertise and leadership to Warehouse Supervisors and Associates. Manager may be required to work different shifts to resolve/cover/support the management team.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.

    • Manage Warehouse Supervisors and Associates providing guidance and expertise.
    • Responsible for all warehouse operations.
    • Responsible for all vacations and planned objectives.
    • Develops work schedules and assigns supervisors accordingly.
    • Initiate and monitor all safety policies.
    • Monitor regulatory compliance.
    • Review completed accident reports.
    • Evaluate performance of Associates.
    • Responsible to ensure warehouse and grounds are always clean and orderly.
    • May conduct performance reviews.
    • Partner with Human Resources to interview and hire most qualified person for openings.
    • Train all or ensure that all warehouse personnel are trained on all warehouse equipment.
    • Provide coaching, counseling, and discipline up to and including termination of employment as necessary or recommend such to the Director of Warehouse Operations.
    • Drive P&L initiatives.
    • Performs other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 7 years Warehouse Management experience; OR 10 years Warehouse Management experience.
    • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
    • Previous experience in union environment.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to develop and motivate high performing teams.
    • Experience developing and managing to daily KPIs to understand performance and progress towards long term strategic goals
    • Proven ability to use analytics and management reporting to develop and execute improvement actions.
    • Related training or certification.
    • Experience working in a team environment.
    • Previous WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience.
    • Experience in Food Safety environment developing and executing GMPs, allergen and sanitation programs in a warehousing environment.

We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $75,000 annually. Excellent benefits which include medical, dental and vision. Eligibility in benefit plans begin the first of the month after 90 days of employment.  40 hours of sick leave; 1 week of vacation after a year of service, 9 Company Paid Holidays (pro-rated based on hire date) and a 401K Plan with employer match.
