As a Department Head, the Food & Beverage Operations Manager will be a hands-on leader with primary responsibility for the Executive Lounge while overseeing and supporting key areas of the hotel’s Food & Beverage operation, including In-Room Dining and our Food & Beverage outlets.

This position is ideal for an experienced Food & Beverage leader who enjoys being present on the floor, developing associates, engaging with guests, and working collaboratively across the operation. The successful candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong operational knowledge, and a commitment to delivering the exceptional level of service our guests expect.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the Executive Lounge, ensuring an exceptional and welcoming guest experience.

  • Oversee In-Room Dining operations and ensure consistent service, quality, and presentation standards.

  • Support the successful daily operation of the hotel’s Food & Beverage outlets and provide leadership coverage based on business needs.

  • Provide operational leadership and support during restaurant service, banquet functions, special events, and high-volume periods.

  • Maintain a visible, hands-on presence throughout the operation and actively support the team during service.

  • Ensure all areas are properly staffed, set up, organized, and prepared to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

  • Lead, coach, train, and develop Food & Beverage associates while creating a positive and engaging work environment.

  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when appropriate.

  • Develop and monitor schedules based on business levels while effectively managing labor costs.

  • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure food quality, presentation, availability, and proper food handling procedures.

  • Ensure Executive Lounge food and beverage offerings are properly presented, replenished, maintained at appropriate temperatures, and in compliance with health and sanitation standards.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction, engage with guests, and respond promptly and professionally to service opportunities.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, presentation, and service throughout the operation.

  • Assist with beverage operations, including ordering, inventory management, and cost controls.

  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of operating supplies and equipment.

  • Support the planning and execution of promotions, special events, and Food & Beverage initiatives designed to enhance the guest experience and drive revenue.

  • Collaborate with Culinary, Banquets, Sales, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth and successful operations.

  • Ensure compliance with hotel and brand standards as well as all applicable health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service requirements.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with associates, guests, and fellow leaders.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • 2–5 years of proven Food & Beverage leadership experience, preferably within a hotel or upscale hospitality environment.

  • Previous experience working across multiple Food & Beverage operations.

  • Experience with Executive Lounge, In-Room Dining, restaurant, bar, or banquet operations preferred.

  • Previous experience managing multiple outlets or venues is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of luxury service standards and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, food presentation, and service standards.

  • Knowledge and hands‑on experience with beverage operations, including ordering, inventory management, and cost controls.

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, train, and develop a team.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A hands‑on, visible leadership style with a willingness to step in and support the operation when needed.

  • Experience planning and executing promotions, special events, or other revenue‑driving initiatives is a plus.

  • Flexibility to work AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

  • Food Handler and TIPS certifications required.

  • Food Manager certification preferred.

  • Experience with MICROS or similar POS systems preferred.

  • Previous Marriott or luxury hotel experience is a plus.
