Description:

ABOUT READING HORIZONS

At Reading Horizons, we are on a mission to eradicate illiteracy because we believe literacy is opportunity. We are an EdTech company that provides educators with a proven, simple instructional method powered by our tech-enabled solution to teach students how to read. We aim to make a measurable impact in K-12 schools and serve 8 million students by 2032.

If you're passionate about making a difference and want to work for a purpose-driven organization, Reading Horizons might be the perfect place. We live and breathe our core values: we are impact driven, we put people first, and we show up as a supportive partner. We are committed to creating a collaborative workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work. We believe a diverse and inclusive workforce leads to better decision-making and fuels our growth and impact.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

We are looking for an Account Executive to join our Revenue team, focused on growing our impact in K-12 education.

In this role, you will proactively contact prospects and customers from K-12 schools and districts to achieve a sales quota within an assigned territory. We're looking for someone with a growth mindset, a can-do attitude, and an intrinsic motivation to put in the work that leads to measurable outcomes. Whether you come from the EdTech industry or from education itself — as a teacher, coach, or administrator ready to channel your passion for student success into a sales career — we want to hear from you.

If you thrive on the challenge of hunting new business, have the discipline and consistency to execute sales strategies, are comfortable carrying and meeting a quota, and value working collaboratively with a team that shares a common purpose, this role is for you.

You’ll love coming to work every day if you:

  • Seek to make a meaningful impact by eradicating illiteracy
  • Have a growth mindset and a passion for personal and professional development
  • Are willing to roll up your sleeves and put in the necessary effort and activities that lead to results
  • Can adapt, persevere, and find creative solutions when faced with obstacles
  • Enjoy the hunt for new business and are driven by clear, measurable goals
  • Thrive in an environment where execution, discipline, and consistency are key

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve your assigned territory quota by developing and executing a strategic territory plan
  • Proactively identify, nurture, and close new business opportunities
  • Conduct outreach to prospects and existing customers to deliver demos and close sales
  • Coordinate efforts with marketing to increase reach and efficiency
  • Work collaboratively within a team to ensure success while independently driving your own sales efforts
  • Track and document progress using a CRM (Salesforce experience is preferred)
  • Lead or support 3-5 monthly events (e.g., luncheons, conferences) to engage prospects and customers

WHY READING HORIZONS?

We operate under the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to foster transparency, collaboration, and accountability. You’ll receive the tools and support you need to succeed as a team member. We’re committed to coaching and mentoring our people and fostering a culture of growth, feedback, and excellence. Your performance will be recognized here, and you’ll know exactly what’s expected of you.

We offer our employees the following benefits:

  • Competitive base salary with unlimited commission potential
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Rx benefits
  • 401(k) with generous company match and profit-sharing opportunity
  • Company-paid life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance
  • 12 paid company holidays, including two floating holidays of your choice, per year
  • Monthly wellness days and generous paid time off (PTO)
  • A supportive, team-oriented work environment
  • Opportunities for personal and professional growth

If you’re motivated by making an impact, have a hunger for success, and are excited about being part of an organization working toward a purpose bigger than themselves, we want to hear from you! Strong preference for candidates who can work at our headquarters in Kaysville, UT, with most of our Sales team. Will also consider remote candidates in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IL, IN, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WY.

READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?

We’ve streamlined our application process to make it quick and easy for you to apply. If this is the right role for you, complete our short application and take the first step toward joining Reading Horizons and making a real difference.
