Job description

Position: Operations Engineer III - AMZ22780.4
Location: Bellevue, WA
Multiple Positions Available:
(1) Design and implement complex high-volume direct-to-consumer fulfillment processes, systems and facilities for capacity expansion and continuous improvement of worldwide fulfillment infrastructure throughout the large-scale supply chain network that increases critical-to-quality (CTQ) business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance; (2) Provide technical leadership for large-scale industrial engineering projects using MS Excel, AutoCad and MS Project; (3) Work with complex Material Handling Systems, packaging equipment and other processing gear to design safe and efficient fulfillment processes; (4) Use Process Improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma and/or Kaizen to analyze Fulfillment Center processes and equipment and recommend and implement improvements to safety procedures, work processes and labor standards; (5) Lead and coordinate design efforts between internal teams and outside vendors to develop optimal solutions for the network, including equipment specification, material flow, process design, and site layout; (6) Manage capital projects and create conceptual drawings, equipment specifications and bid documentation to facilitate a competitive bid environment; (7) Monitor and enforce project schedules and quality with vendors or subcontractors. Inspect facilities in accordance with corporate standards and procedures relating to material handling, processing and storage; (8) Develop and manage budget and contract documents including Requests for Proposals, change order controls, purchase orders and invoicing; (9) Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper operator training, procedural compliance, maintenance and safety practices are followed for new and existing equipment; and (10) Domestic travel up to 50% to perform role responsibilities may be required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and five years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to a Master's degree and two years of experience. Must have two years of experience in each of the following skills: (1) managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects; (2) implementing automated equipment or integrated systems; and (3) using CAD software.
The pay range for this position in Bellevue, WA is $127982 - $161700 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
