This role will suit Nurses who are seeking a few extra hours weekly and can commit to accepting up to 4 visits each week of 2 hours each for home care clients.

At Nurse Next Door our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN's) and Registered Nurses (RN's) help seniors rekindle passions and interests while staying at home. We call it Happier Aging. Wage Ranges:

  • RNs (homecare): $43 - 50/ hour*

What we offer:

  • 24/7 Support available to assist Clients and our Care Team
  • Flexible schedule (you tell us when you want to work!) with home visits ranging from 2 - 8 hours. Most visits are 2 hours long and are for wound care, injections, a Nurse Wellness Assessment or complex Nursing tasks such as tube feeds. When a palliative client or 24 hour client is onboard, shifts are 8 hours.

RN Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Must be willing to travel to 2 of the following communities for 2 hour shifts: Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, and Mission
  • At least 2 days each week of availability totaling 10hrs per week of availability to work
  • Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer, including all nurses duties plus personal care
  • Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
  • Provide delegations of task or other training to care team
  • Assess clients needs and report back to Care Designer with recommendation or complex care plans
  • Function within the limits of your scope

Requirements

  • Current RN license in BC
  • Wound care or palliative care experience is required
  • Technically savvy with mobile apps and G-suite
  • TB test 
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Current First Aid with CPR
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills. Other languages an asset.
  • Class 5 Drivers License & reliable transportation
  • Double COVID Vaccination required
  • Previous home care nursing experience an asset.
  • 2 Professional References
  • VACC dressing experience is preferred
