Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) - to join our high-performance team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our gynecologic oncologists and clinical team to provide comprehensive care to our patients. This includes conducting patient assessments, managing treatment plans, assisting in surgeries, and ensuring continuity of care throughout the patient journey.

This position offers a balance of clinical, surgical, and research opportunities, working within Albuquerque's two major health systems. Surgical assisting experience is preferred but not required, and training will be provided to ensure a smooth transition into our specialized practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and pre- and post-operative assessments.
  • Assist in surgical procedures, including robotic-assisted gynecologic oncology surgeries.
  • Provide patient education, counseling, and coordination of care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Registered Nurses, to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Participate in clinical research through our Optimum Clinical Research Group, with opportunities to contribute to studies and publications.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) with licensure in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure.
  • Preferably with prior surgical assisting experience (though not required).
  • Passion for women's health and oncology care.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume practice environment.
