Job description

As the Senior Partnerships Manager, you'll deepen our impact on math education by navigating ESA and charter school ecosystems, expanding ties within the math community, and opening doors through corporate sponsors and philanthropic partners. You'll represent AoPS in rooms where problem solvers are celebrated and championed, and build the systems that help our external partners thrive by coordinating closely with our product and operations teams. This role is perfect for someone who is excited to build partnerships that connect challenge-ready students with the best math education available.

The Senior Partnerships Manager will:

  • Expand our reach by developing relationships with state Education Savings Account (ESA) programs and Virtual Charter school networks, ensuring AoPS is an approved provider and preferred partner
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with leading organizations supporting high-potential math students such as National Math Stars (NMS) and Bridge to Enter Advanced Mathematics (BEAM)
  • Secure corporate sponsorships for signature programs like our Worldwide Online Olympiad Training (WOOT), developing compelling sponsorship packages and managing sponsor relationships
  • Cultivate relationships with foundations, donors, and grant-making organizations to create scholarship opportunities and subsidized access to our courses and programs
  • Represent AoPS at industry conferences, government meetings, and partner events
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure successful partnership implementation
  • Build and manage a pipeline of partnership opportunities aligned with company growth objectives

The ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related fields, preferably in education technology or youth-serving organizations
  • Experience structuring, negotiating, and closing complex partnership agreements across diverse partner types (institutional, government, corporate, or philanthropic)
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, coordinating across internal and external teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Understanding of the mathematics education landscape, or eagerness to develop deep expertise in it
  • Familiarity with gifted education programs, enrichment ecosystems, or advanced learner communities is a plus

About AoPS: Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) is on a mission to discover, inspire, and train the great problem solvers of the next generation. Since 2003, we have trained hundreds of thousands of the country's top students, including nearly all the members of the US International Math Olympiad team, through our online school, in-person academies, textbooks, and online learning systems. While our primary focus has been math for most of our history, through the years we have expanded our unique problem solving curriculum into more subjects, such as language arts, science, and computer science.
