Job description

Overview:
Best Version Media was founded in 2007 and now serves over 1,300 communities across the U.S. and Canada. We connect local businesses to customers with a suite of innovative print and digital solutions. Our print magazines, powered by our advertisers and readers, are tailored to the communities we serve by showcasing local families, nonprofits, events, and more. Our digital advertising works with our print campaigns to build brand awareness and help businesses expand their online reach with local customers. We also offer convenient tools to help businesses manage their online presence and enhance searchability.
Our vision is to unite the hearts and minds of communities - one person, one home, one business at a time. We value family, teamwork, and an open exchange of ideas as we strive to become the best versions of ourselves. Our award-winning culture has been recognized countless times by organizations like Fortune, Glassdoor, Great Place to Work, and more.
Job Summary:
We've successfully rolled out a powerful, company-wide CRM system, and now we are looking for the right person to take the reins.
This isn't just about maintaining a basic database. You will own a massive, dual-sided ecosystem:
  1. The Internal HubSpot CRM: Used by our internal teams to onboard, manage, and support our sales force.
  2. The Custom Portal: A proprietary interface built on top of HubSpot, used daily by 1,000+ independent sales reps to run their local media businesses.

You will configure the system, run it day-to-day, and scale it as more of our business comes online. If you are looking for a high-ownership role with real autonomy-all within the safety of an established, highly profitable company-this is your next move.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day HubSpot operations across the internal CRM and custom portal, including workflows, custom objects, associations, properties, dashboards, and permissions.
  • Drive user adoption among independent sales reps by ensuring the system is highly valuable and easy to use.
  • Resolve escalated configuration and support issues.
  • Scope complex technical issues clearly and route them to the engineering team.
  • Define and shape the CRM roadmap (what to improve, simplify, or cut) based on actual usage data.
  • Write clear, accessible in-product guidance and release notes.

Requirements
Skills & Requirements:
  • 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience managing a CRM (HubSpot strongly preferred) in a RevOps, Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, or Systems-Owner role.
  • Deep HubSpot configuration skills across workflows, custom objects, associations, properties, reporting, and permissions.
  • Experience working alongside engineering teams on a customized or API-connected CRM, with the ability to clearly scope technical tickets.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical processes for non-technical users.
  • A strong track record of taking ownership and shipping simple solutions that people actually use.
  • Ability to make roadmap and prioritization decisions based on real usage data.
What Will Make You Stand Out
  • Active HubSpot certifications.
  • Experience supporting distributed field sales, franchisees, or 1099 independent contractors.
  • Experience taking a product from zero to launch, or managing change during a company-wide rollout.
  • Light SQL skills and a general comfort level working with data.
  • Enthusiasm for using modern AI tools to configure, document, and ship faster.

Ready to take ownership of a business-critical system? Apply today and let's build something great.
