Job description

General Purpose of Job:  

The Advanced Application Systems Analyst leads application projects, optimizes workflows, and provides mentorship. This role includes managing complex configurations, supporting organizational goals, and enhancing data integration and performance.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Education:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of 7 years of Application Analysis experience OR Associates degree computer science, IT or related field and a minimum of 5 years of Application Analysis experience OR Bachelors degree  in computer science, IT or related field and a minimum of 3 year of Application Analysis experience

Experience:

  • Required: Must be proficient in application analysis or support, with project leadership experience.
  • Preferred: Ideal candidate will have experience in application analysis or support, with project experience.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of application systems, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing large-scale configurations and optimizing system performance.

Essential Duties:

This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis.  Team members may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader.  Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.

  • Lead application projects, including new system implementations and major upgrades.
  • Provides mentorship and sharing best practices in application support.
  • Optimize workflows by developing standardized procedures and documentation.
  • Resolve escalated issues and provide advanced troubleshooting for complex problems.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align application functionality with organizational goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships and provide service line leadership.
  • Assist with compliance with data standards, security, and regulatory requirements in applications.
  • Assist in Enterprise Architecture/Tech Review processes.
