System Program Manager, Desktop Workstation

Description -

Role Overview

As a System Manager for Desktop Workstations, you will lead a global cross-functional team to plan, design, and launch new Desktop Workstation products and their related options. You'll be the focal point for program success, driving alignment across product management, design, engineering, supply chain, quality, service and customer experience teams. Your leadership will directly influence HP's ability to deliver solutions that enhance customer outcomes while improving HP's operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Manages and leads a program involving multiple functions and global project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation processes for new products and related options.

Leads the planning and execution of the Product Lifecycle while maintaining cross functional alignment of the program scope, schedule and budget for new products.

Develops and directs development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.

Manages activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensures progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business and product information to alter or update schedule and resource plans to meet product requirements and program schedule milestones.

Manages program to ensure regulatory compliance, and safety practices are followed for new all new products.

Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders and ACS leadership; collaborates with management and cross functional teams to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve issues, produce solutions to ensure adherence to established product scope, schedule and cost targets.

Follows up on open actions that were observed during each program phase; ensures actionable items are tracked to closure.

Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities across the cross functional program team.

Customer First Mindset: Collaborates with product planning teams to define critical customer experiences. Documents and execute plans that deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Cost Management: Identify and implement cost optimization strategies to improve margins. Partner with cost and program teams to meet targets.

Drives best practices through documentation control policies and procedures.

Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software packages, people management, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is$116,150.00 - 171,350.00 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
