Job description

Berean Christian School is seeking a full-time VPK Teaching Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year.
Candidates must have a passion for serving God in the context of education. A relationship with Jesus Christ and viewing your teaching position as a ministry is essential. Berean Christian School is the largest ministry of Grace Fellowship, and, as such, candidates must be regular attending members in good standing at a church of "like-faith". General Purpose: To assist the teacher with the organization and implementation of an appropriate instructional program in a Christ-centered environment of love, respect, trust, and safety where children will strive to achieve their maximum potential under God.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all policies, expectations and professional standards in the Grace Fellowship and Berean Christian School handbooks
- Assist the teacher with the preparation of instruction and activities for the day
- Maintain the attendance records for each day
- Adhere to best practices in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
- Contribute to the warm and inviting atmosphere
- All other duties as assigned by BCS Administration
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and exhibit flexibility with changing situations.
Education and Experience: A minimum of 45 hours of DCF training and a state or nationally recognized credential; at least one year of preschool assistance experience is preferred.
