What You'll Do

As a Plumbing Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced plumbing professionals to complete residential plumbing work safely, efficiently, and professionally.

You will:

  • Assist with residential plumbing repairs, installations, replacements, and upgrades
  • Help install and replace water heaters, fixtures, faucets, toilets, piping, drains, water treatment equipment, and other residential plumbing systems
  • Prepare tools, equipment, materials, and jobsites
  • Assist with removing and replacing existing plumbing equipment and components
  • Use common hand and power tools safely and correctly
  • Assist with basic plumbing tasks under the direction of an experienced plumber
  • Learn proper residential plumbing procedures, installation methods, and best practices
  • Help identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues as your skills develop
  • Transport and organize equipment, materials, and tools
  • Follow instructions from experienced plumbers and field leaders
  • Follow company safety procedures and applicable industry standards
  • Protect customers' homes and property while work is being performed
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners
  • Help deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
  • Complete required job documentation as assigned
