Job Title: Data Analyst Location: Houston, TX ,Chicago, IL Duration: 06 Months Contract Description:

Need someone strong and excited about this opportunity. They will be leading out the build of dashboards for the team with aws and dynamodb. Needs to be a strong communicator.

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead the development of dashboards and analytics solutions that empower business users to make data driven decisions. This role will focus heavily on building high quality Power BI dashboards using data from modern, cloud based sources, including UDH data sources, DynamoDB, Postgres, and application observability tools (RUM and APM platforms).

You will operate as a trusted analytics partner-owning metrics end to end, shaping data standards, and translating complex technical and behavioral data into clear business insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and own Power BI dashboards and reports for business, product, and operational stakeholders
  • Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs and translate business questions into scalable data models and visualizations
  • Analyze and model data from UDH data sources, DynamoDB, and Postgres
  • Leverage data from AWS hosted infrastructure to support reporting and analytical use cases
  • Incorporate Real User Monitoring (RUM) and Application Performance Monitoring (APM) data into dashboards to surface trends related to performance, reliability, and user experience
  • Build and maintain advanced DAX measures and calculations following Power BI best practices
  • Ensure dashboards are performant, maintainable, and intuitive for self service consumption
  • Validate data accuracy, perform root cause analysis, and partner with engineering teams to resolve inconsistencies
  • Establish best practices for dashboard design, metric definitions, and documentation
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other analysts, raising the overall analytics maturity of the team
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis roles
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and Power BI Service
  • Strong SQL skills and experience querying Postgres or similar relational databases
  • Hands on experience working with NoSQL data sources such as DynamoDB
  • Experience analyzing data in AWS based environments
  • Ability to translate technical or behavioral data (e.g., RUM, APM) into business relevant insights
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex insights to non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with UDH or unified data hub-style architectures
  • Familiarity with RUM and APM tools (e.g., application monitoring, performance metrics, latency, errors)
  • Experience building dashboards for product, reliability, or customer experience use cases
  • Understanding of data governance, KPI standardization, and self-service analytics
  • Prior experience serving as a domain owner or analytics lead
