Community Options, Inc.is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are accepting applications from undergraduate students interested in internship opportunities!All interns will work with experienced managers and receive in-depth training in the field. Please contact a Community Options office in your area if you are interested in working with people with disabilities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and eager to learn.This internship will provide a basis in Health and Human Services, including public relations, training, fundraising, social media, recruitment, communications, and person-centered supports. We offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment while contributing to meaningful projects that align with our mission and values.Community Options offers flexible hours to accommodate schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and curate engaging content for company's social media
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to operational strategies.
  • Document processes and help create instructional materials for future reference
  • Help prepare documentation and presentations for internal stakeholders
  • Support day-to-day operations with administrative tasks and projects as needed
  • Support the documentation and reporting of project progress and outcomes
  • Engage in learning opportunities to enhance your technical and professional skills
  • Engage in learning opportunities and training provided by Community Options to elicit feedback
  • Assist in the development and execution of projects under the guidance of senior team members
  • Assist the local Race Director with planning and development of the annual Cupid's Chase 5K Race
  • Other tasks assigned by the Executive Director

Requirements:

  • Current student pursuing an undergraduate degree program in a relevant field
