We are seeking compassionate and motivated Classroom Behavior Aides to support students in elementary, middle, and high school settings throughout the Elkhart, IN area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with students who have special needs, helping them achieve behavioral, social, and academic success.

With multiple openings available, candidates can be placed based on experience and grade-level preference.

Position Overview

The Classroom Behavior Aide works to facilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs. This role collaborates with teachers, school professionals, and behavioral specialists to implement behavior support plans and help students meet learning and behavioral goals.

Assignments may include:

  • 1:1 student support
  • Small group support

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioral support to students in classroom and school environments
  • Implement behavior intervention and support plans as directed
  • Assist students with social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collect and document behavioral data as required
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and other school staff
  • Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students in achieving individualized educational and behavioral goals

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of pediatric or school experience, preferred
  • Experience working with challenging and aggressive behaviors, preferred
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable
