Job description

Part-Time Tumbling Coach Needed


MCCA is seeking an experienced, part-time Tumbling Coach to join our growing program!


MCCA is entering its third year and is excited to expand our tumbling program, offering classes for athletes ranging from beginners to advanced tumblers. We are looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and enthusiastic coach who can help athletes develop strong fundamentals while progressing toward advanced tumbling skills.


Responsibilities

  • Teach and develop tumbling skills for athletes of all ages and ability levels.
  • Help beginners master foundational skills such as rolls, bridges, cartwheels, and other basic movements.
  • Train and assist more advanced athletes with skills including back walkovers, front walkovers, back handsprings, front handsprings, tucks, aerials, and other advanced tumbling skills.
  • Provide instruction using proper technique, progressions, and spotting methods.
  • Incorporate appropriate conditioning and strength training into practices.
  • Create a positive, encouraging, and safe environment for all athletes.
  • Recognize that athletes learn and progress at different rates and adapt coaching techniques accordingly.


Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with athletes of various ages and skill levels.
  • Strong knowledge of tumbling fundamentals, progressions, conditioning, and proper training techniques.
  • Experience coaching both beginner and advanced tumblers.
  • Patient, kind, encouraging, and able to communicate effectively with athletes.
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to athlete safety and development.
