Position Start Date: September 2, 2026
Required Degree: MA, or equivalent.
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
- Proven knowledge of language pedagogy.
- Superior-level proficiency in Haitian Creole (ACTFL rating) or native speaker required.
- Demonstrated experience teaching university courses in Haitian Creole preferred.
- Curriculum development experience preferred.
Duties/Expectations:
- Teach and advise students in beginner, intermediate, and advanced level Haitian Creole.
- Use department-approved curriculum to guide instruction in conversation, reading, and writing.
- Support students in developing real-world language applications.
- Adjunct instructors are expected to attend monthly training meetings collaborate with faculty to maintain consistency in instruction and assessment.
- Additional responsibilities may include mentoring students in professional writing and speaking.
