About Seastreak:

Seastreak provides fast passenger ferry services in the New York metropolitan area. We proudly offer high-speed catamaran services to points in Manhattan, central New Jersey, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, and more with a fleet of robust vessels.

In addition to commuter services to and from Manhattan and New Jersey, we offer an array of special events, sightseeing cruises and tours, daytrips, and getaways year-round.


Job Summary:

The Ticket Ambassador is expected to provide exemplary customer service and assist in providing a smooth boarding process for all passengers.

The Seastreak Ticket Ambassador is a full-time job that will include weekend and holiday hours. The person in this position will work at various ports, including but not limited to Battery Maritime Building (BMB) and East 35th St. Ticket Ambassadors assigned to work the docks in NYC will take the ferry from NJ to NYC at the beginning of the shift and return by ferry at the end of shift.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Organize boarding lines before the vessel arrives; direct customers to the correct line and where to enter
  • Scan tickets with handheld scanners, or assist customers with the purchase of digital tickets and reservations
  • Greeting passengers as they board and disembark
  • Respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues or complaints
  • Regularly check brochure rack holders and signage, alert supervisor if they require maintenance/attention
  • Work with NJ Customer Service Representatives, and Crew to ensure a smooth boarding process
  • Maintain a clean and orderly shared ticket booth with fellow Ticket Ambassadors and other ferry companies

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • Experience in customer service (preferred)
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) after being hired, or already possess one. Certain felonies may exclude you from obtaining one.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn and successfully navigate an online sales system.
  • Can provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism to all passengers.
  • Willingness to familiarize oneself with Seastreak’s current offerings and schedules to best assist customers.
