Job Title: Line Dance Instructor, Bardmoor Branch YMCA

Description: The Bardmoor YMCA in Largo, FL is currently looking for an experienced Line Dance Instructor to teach classes to adults. At the YMCA, we're all about building healthy spirit, mind, and body for all-sometimes with a little heel-toe, do-si-do, and a whole lot of fun! We're looking for a passionate and energetic Line Dance Instructor to get our members stepping, sliding, and smiling in rhythm.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engaging and easy-to-follow line dance classes for participants of all ages and skill levels.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment where everyone feels welcome on the dance floor.
  • Develop lesson plans that introduce both classic and modern line dance routines.
  • Ensure participant safety and proper technique while keeping the class fun and high-energy.
  • Build strong connections with members, inspiring confidence and community through movement.

Requirments:

  • Prior experience teaching dance, group fitness, or line dancing specifically (formal certifications a plus, but not required).
  • Ability to choreograph or adapt routines for different skill levels.
  • Strong communication skills with a friendly and upbeat personality.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred (YMCA may assist with training if needed).
  • Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen
