Role Overview

We are seeking Junior Motion GEOINT Analysts to support critical intelligence operations in McLean, Virginia.

The Junior Motion GEOINT Analyst will support the exploitation, analysis, and production of Motion GEOINT and related geospatial intelligence products. The role involves full-motion video processing, exploitation, analysis, and dissemination in a fast-paced operational environment.

The successful candidate will use Motion GEOINT and other intelligence sources to support mission requirements across Department of Defense and Intelligence Community operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time 24/7/365 motion video exploitation in a shift-work environment.
  • Analyze targets using a variety of platforms and Motion GEOINT data sources.
  • Exploit Motion GEOINT, including multispectral, hyperspectral, infrared (IR), synthetic aperture radar (SAR), and LiDAR imagery.
  • View, exploit, record, and accurately touch-type live Motion GEOINT exploitation comments in support of operations.
  • Maintain a minimum typing speed of 32 words per minute with 90% accuracy.
  • Produce storyboards, vehicle follows, and 360-degree graphics.
  • Respond to imagery research and analysis taskings using current and historical hardcopy and softcopy imagery.
  • Produce standard and non-standard NGA imagery analysis products, including summary reports, tailored mission-specific products, database remarks, and daily briefings.
  • Collaborate with NGA, NSG, ASG, Service imagery and geospatial analysts, intelligence analysts, and engineers.
  • Archive and disseminate intelligence products in accordance with applicable NGA guidelines.
  • Support mission requirements while maintaining the integrity of mission-partner data and operations.
  • Apply established intelligence analysis processes and procedures to assigned mission requirements.
  • Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced operational environment.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time, post-schoolhouse intelligence analysis experience with formal military intelligence training; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field combined with formal military intelligence training.
  • Completion of formal intelligence training, typically consisting of two or more months of full-time training resulting in a military intelligence MOS or equivalent background, such as:
    • All-Source Intelligence
    • IMINT
    • SIGINT
    • HUMINT
    • Related intelligence disciplines
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-tempo, mission-focused environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply advanced concepts and processes to mission requirements.
  • Adaptable, professional, detail-oriented, and team-focused approach.
  • Commitment to producing timely and accurate GEOINT products.
  • Ability to work a 24/7/365 shift schedule.

Security Requirements

This position supports a Special Access Program (SAP) and requires additional screening, customer approval, and an in-depth background investigation regardless of the candidate's current clearance level.

Candidates must satisfy all applicable security and customer requirements before assuming mission responsibilities.

Required Training

Selected candidates must successfully complete all required initial training:

Motion Imagery Tradecraft Intermediate Level (MITIL)

  • 3.5-day course
  • Participation required
  • Pass/fail

Fundamentals and Program Orientation

  • 10-day course
  • Minimum passing score of 80%

On-the-Job Training (OJT)

  • Up to 90 days or 45 mission days
  • Task-specific training
  • Three subphases
  • Pass/fail

Successful completion of all required training is mandatory for continued eligibility for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Motion GEOINT analysis.
  • Experience with full-motion video (FMV) exploitation.
  • Familiarity with NGA intelligence products and workflows.
  • Previous mission experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community operations.
  • Familiarity with GEOINT analysis and imagery exploitation.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a high-tempo operational environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and formal military intelligence training, combined with relevant intelligence analysis or GEOINT experience.

Candidates with experience in IMINT, GEOINT, FMV exploitation, or other imagery-related intelligence disciplines are particularly well suited. The successful candidate should be adaptable, team-oriented, technically capable, and comfortable working in a 24/7/365 operational environment.

This is an onsite position in McLean, VA with shift-work requirements.
