Job description

Exciting full-time opportunities are available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about working with elementary students. This contract position offers 35 hours per week and is located onsite near Hartford, CT. Two openings are available, providing the chance to positively impact young learners across elementary school caseloads. You may have the opportunity to split your schedule between two school sites, delivering essential speech and language services across diverse settings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current, active Speech-Language Pathology license for Connecticut
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence strongly preferred
  • School-based SLP experience required
  • Open to Clinical Fellows (CFs); district will provide supervision when possible, but limited bandwidth for supervision—supervisor will be provided if available
  • Experience with elementary school caseloads preferred
  • SLPAs will not be considered
  • Must complete district fingerprinting and background check
  • Ability to travel between two sites as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group speech-language services to elementary students
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and create appropriate intervention plans
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation in accordance with district standards
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reports
