Job description

Description Job Summary The Beer Merchandiser position serves an essential role in the customer service experience at Applejack Wine & Spirits by ensuring the shelves are always stocked to better serve our customers. The Merchandiser will assist the store management team maintain a positive environment that provides fast, efficient, and friendly customer service. Responsibilities Provide Excellent Customer Service
  • Proactively approach customers to identify their needs.
  • Address customer needs and seek out expert advice as needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced retail environment.
Strive to Increase Sales
  • Recommend products based on customer needs.
  • Show additional products to drive sales.
Maintain Sales Floor Standards
  • The number one responsibility is to ensure the shelves are well stocked.
  • Maintain safe aisles and address empty boxes as needed.
  • Proactively investigate/address on-hand stock issues.
  • Ensure proper signing is in place and accurate.
Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment
  • Ensure the sales floor is free from clutter.
  • Sweep/Mop in the event of breakage.
  • Merchandising products in a safe manner.
General
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Beer/Service industry experience a plus.
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions.
  • 1+ year of Customer Service experience.
  • Work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Interest in the alcoholic beverage industry.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Must be able to lift 40-60 lbs.
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must pass a background check.
