Left Hand Collective is seeking an experienced, visionary, and results-driven National Sales Director to lead our sales and distribution efforts in all markets. The National Sales Director owns all commercial strategy, national distributor networks, national key accounts, and direct field sales teams. This role provides effective communication and inspiring leadership to drive sales, margin generation, and net profitability targets while staying on budget.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES


Commercial Strategy

Develops and executes national sales strategies to hit volume, revenue, and gross margin goals across all distribution channels.

Owns overall Annual Business Planning for the sales organization, aligning portfolio goals with regional dynamics.

Analyzes market trends, depletion data, and VIP/iDig, Karma, and Byzzer reports to identify growth opportunities, portfolio gaps, and distribution wins.


Key Account & Chain Management

Directly owns the chain sales effort - presentations, promotional calendars, merchandising/auditing, and seasonal releases - across Off-Premise and On-Premise accounts.

Directs work building recurring reports, buyer presentations, and data analysis (VIP/iDig, Karma, Byzzer, Nielsen) to support chain strategy; reviews and approves deliverables.

Develops and cultivates new, and maintains existing, key account relationships nationally and regionally; personally leads major retail buyer presentations.

Ensures chain authorizations and programs are executed to maximize sales, and that pricing/promotion information is communicated accurately to key accounts.


Cross-Functional & Pricing Strategy

Acts as a liaison between the sales team and other departments, sharing key information that enables timely, well-informed decisions.

Collaborates with Marketing, Accounting, and Production teams on go-to-market pricing strategy, ensuring brewery margin goals are maintained.

Works with Scheduling team to integrate sales projections with capacity.


Fiscal Responsibility

Oversees and manages sales budgets, including chain and territory expense budgets and Distributor billbacks.

Analyzes all budgets regularly to ensure appropriate spending and ensures expense policy guidelines are followed by the entire sales team.


REQUIREMENTS

Maintains a valid state driver's license.

Willingness to travel up to 40-50% nationally for distributor meetings, key account presentations, and account visits with sales team and distributor sales teams.

Works late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays to support sales activities as required.

Maintains professionalism on social media platforms and in on-premise/tasting environments.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Experience: 8-10+ years of sales leadership experience within the beverage alcohol industry 

Track Record: Proven success managing national distributor networks, national/regional chain accounts, and multi-state field teams.

Data-Driven: Proficiency with VIP (iDig/SRS), Karma, Encompass, Byzzer, and IRI/Nielsen data, and KARMA, to turn insights into action.

Comfortable directing outsourced/agency support to extend team capacity without a direct-report layer.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
