Summary of Position: Crooked Hammock Brewery is excited to open in Raleigh this spring, and we’re building an incredible team to help bring this new location to life! Our focus is on creating a welcoming, high-energy space where guests can gather, connect, and enjoy thoughtfully crafted food, beer, and hospitality that feels genuine and memorable. A Crooked Hammock Brewery Bartender is a confident beer and cocktail professional who sets the tone at the bar. This role is responsible for delivering consistently great drinks, guiding guests through our offerings, and creating an engaging, energetic bar experience. Bartenders serve as leaders on the Front of House team and must bring strong knowledge, efficiency, and a team-first mindset to every shift. Above all, bartenders must Enjoy the Ride!
Duties amp; Responsibilities:
  • Be a guest recognition expert and know our regulars by name
  • Be quick, attentive, approachable, and fun with everyone that walks through the door.
  • Welcome and greet guests. Smile. Make eye contact. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re here to make them as relaxed as possible.
  • Always be professional, while still maintaining a casual atmosphere.
  • Know everything about our craft beer and all of our signature drinks.
  • Provide a Tour of our Menus. Highlight features and suggest specific menu items
  • Do not be “just” an order taker. Answer questions appropriately. Take orders accurately.
  • Enter orders in our point-of-sale system quickly and accurately
  • Be interesting. Be unique. Have fun.
  • Monitor and observe guests' dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
  • Constantly maintain a clean bar and environment.
  • Promote events and other service times
  • Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, accurately process credit card charges or make change.
  • Provide appropriate farewells to all guests.
  • Be the hardest working member of the team amp; be a team player
  • Perform more than your share of side work at the start and end of each shift.
  • Clear and clean bar top once guest has finished.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant’s standard drink recipes.
  • Prepare garnishes for drinks
  • Maintain bottles amp; glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
  • Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager.
  • Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
  • Live the brand and be a brand ambassador; make decisions in the best interest of the business every time

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have advanced knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Have at least one year of experience, preferably at a fast paced restaurant.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility of schedule to assume responsibilities as needed
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
