Job description

CDL Delivery Driver 

Delivery drivers make store visits with on an assigned route to assist in the delivery and stocking process of Stevenson Beer products. They are responsible for checking in product with store management, replenishing inventory, ensuring proper stock rotation, and collecting payment for the delivery. This is a fast-paced, outdoor position that requires the ability to continually lift items and carry packages that can weigh as much as 165 pounds (kegs). Early starts and late finishes are common with this job.

Duties & Responsibilities:

A driver's main responsibilities include loading and unloading the truck, delivering products to customers, maintain an orderly back room, and ensure proper rotation.

Drivers communicate with customers and clients to ensure they’re happy with the service they received. They also ask for feedback to resolve a customer’s complaints or issues if necessary. This part of the role also includes collecting payments.

Duties of this job require the following:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb, during the entirety of the shift
  • Must be able to lift and carry, including overhead lifting, 15-40 pounds or more on a repetitive basis during a 10 to 15 hour shift with frequent bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and sitting
  • Must be able to unload draught beer, weighing up to 161 pounds, and package beer, weighing 15 to 40 pounds per case, from truck to retail account
  • Must have the ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather and/or temperature conditions
  • Must be able to push and pull a 2-wheel dolly (weighing up to 322 pounds fully loaded) on a regular basis
  • Must be able to communicate, hear, and see in accordance with safety regulations
  • Must be able to perform basic math functions, including counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills.

This position is scheduled Monday - Friday beginning at the office in Trinity at 6:15am
