We currently operate two taprooms in Atlanta, GA, a brewpub in Birmingham, AL, a taproom in Nashville, TN, a taproom in Charlotte, NC and a taproom in Knoxville, TN. Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta, GA) is seeking a Brewer + Cellar Person to join our tight-knit, growing team. Reports to:

High-Level Goals:
  • Work with brew, cellar and packaging teams to produce a world-class product.
  • Advance brewing and cellaring knowledge and skills as measured by progress in Key Competencies Matrix.
  • Contribute to and maintain a culture of safety, cleanliness and accuracy.

Responsibilities:
Brew Deck:
  • Wort production
  • QA/QC duties, including sensory evaluation and lab work
  • General brewery cleaning
  • Proper documentation of all processes and completed tasks in written and digital systems of record.
  • Attend industry events and provide support to sales/marketing departments when needed
  • Raw materials monitoring, receiving and handling
  • Collaborate with Brewmaster, head brewer and brewing team on any processes that may impact beer quality
  • Follow written SOPs; accountable for diligent SOP adherence and execution
  • Monitor brewing and processing of batches to control quality, consistency and efficiency
  • Monitor and execute daily, weekly, monthly and yearly cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Ensure and maintain the highest safety standards for production and brewery staff
  • Communicate daily with Head Brewer on progress of scheduled tasks and issues encountered

Cellar:
  • Perform daily maintenance of the cellar so that it is clean, organized, functional and capable of supporting both the brewing and packaging departments.
  • Proper documentation of all processes and completed tasks in written and digital systems of record.
  • Understand and apply proper chemical usage and sanitary practices in the brewery.
  • Centrifuge and lenticular filter CIP and operation.
  • Pump and head pressure transfers of in-process or finished beer.
  • Carbonation of beers in-line and post-transfer.
  • Prepare juice and soda mixtures and various adjuncts as needed.
  • Execute cold-side juice, hop and other adjunct additions as needed.
  • Perform yeast operations including pulling samples for lab checks, performing cell counts, cone-to-cone pitching, pitching using the Perfect Pitch, harvesting to propagator and harvesting to yeast brinks.
  • QA/QC duties including yeast counts, daily gravity/pH checks, and regular sensory analysis of in-process and finished beers to ensure brand consistency and lack of off-flavors.
  • Communication of any equipment or facilities needs to production manager or director of operations.
  • Communication of and follow-up on any maintenance request to ensure fully functioning equipment in the cellar (pumps, regulators, etc.).
  • Attendance at bi-weekly production meetings and quarterly company-wide meetings.

Compensation:
โ€ข $20.00 - 23.50/hourly
