The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is essential in sustaining long-term customer success with Beckhoff technologies. By keeping systems running smoothly, responsively addressing complex challenges in the field, and building trust through reliable, ongoing support, FSEs strengthen and expand customer relationships. With firsthand visibility into system performance and customer sentiment, they are often the first to surface risks or uncover new opportunities, playing a critical role in sustaining long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty.

FSEs are practical engineers who address urgent technical issues through phone, email, and onsite support. They work closely with Sales and Application Engineering teams to ensure continuity and responsiveness across the region. Beyond immediate troubleshooting, FSEs contribute to scalable support by documenting recurring issues, sharing field-proven practices, and helping internal teams stay ahead of customer needs.

What We’re Looking For – Required Skills & Qualifications

Work Location 

This position follows a hybrid work model. Based in our Atlanta, GA office, you'll split time between customer site visits, remote troubleshooting, and office collaboration. Office attendance is flexible based on business needs and travel schedules.

Travel 

This position requires willingness to travel on short notice. Plan for 50%+ travel, which may include day trips, overnight stays, and occasional extended travel depending on business needs. Travel may be local, regional, or national. All travel-related expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy. Candidates must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role, and reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
