Job description

The Loader plays a crucial role in ensuring that trucks are properly loaded and organized for efficient delivery routes. This position requires attention to detail, careful handling of products, and collaboration with the warehouse team to maintain a smooth loading process. This full-time Loader position will begin at 11 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve loading assignments and paperwork from the shipping office
  • Complete load manifest paperwork to guide loading and unloading processes
  • Load trucks by hand stacking or using a hand jack according to load master instructions
  • Inspect trucks to ensure proper cooling and maintenance before loading
  • Examine each pallet for proper stacking and wrapping to prevent damage
  • Position and secure pallets correctly within the truck to avoid movement during transit
  • Pre-load freezer and cooler products according to stop order
  • Load chemicals separately from food items at the tail of the truck
  • Assist in straightening the warehouse at the end of the shift
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor
