Job description

  • Lead the creative vision and identity for Cosmopolitan and Seventeen video
  • Develop and pitch original video franchises and shareable formats across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, on-site, and other platforms
  • Produce and direct video content from concept through distribution
  • Develop pre-production materials and direct celebrity talent on set
  • Guide post-production across story, pacing, graphics, music, and color
  • Write loglines, treatments, beat sheets, shot lists, scripts, and pilots
  • Collaborate with editorial, marketing, sales, production management, social teams, and other partners
  • Develop branded opportunities while preserving editorial voice
  • Manage productions, programming workflows, Airtable tracking, freelancer hiring, budgets, deadlines, and resources
  • Oversee and mentor producers and associate producers
  • Report to the Director of Video
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in creative video production, ideally with digital-first and celebrity-driven content, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and produce internet-forward, highly engaging video across multiple platforms and formats
  • Experience directing and collaborating with high-profile or A-list talent on set
  • Strong creative instincts and a keen eye for visual storytelling
  • Deep understanding of the production process, including show development, treatments, pilots, shoots, and post-production
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, budgets, and deadlines in a fast-moving production environment
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Experience creating branded content is preferred/a plus
  • Based in New York City and able to work in the office four days per week
