Finance Project Manager

Overview
An organization is seeking a Finance Project Manager to support a critical Acumatica ERP implementation and optimization initiative. This role will focus heavily on improving and automating accounting workflows primarily within Accounts Payable by leveraging Acumatica functionality to drive efficiency, visibility, and scalability.

This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who combines accounting knowledge with deep Acumatica experience, particularly in process design, system optimization, and workflow automation.



Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate current AP processes, workflows, and Acumatica system utilization to identify inefficiencies
  • Lead process improvement initiatives by leveraging Acumatica tools and automation capabilities
  • Configure and optimize Acumatica workflows to improve invoice processing, approvals, and payment cycles
  • Drive the transition from manual processes to automated workflows within Acumatica ERP
  • Enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting visibility through improved Acumatica configuration
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of new Acumatica-driven processes
  • Support process improvements across AR and other accounting functions within Acumatica
  • Document workflows, SOPs, and system changes tied to Acumatica enhancements
  • Identify and implement scalable, repeatable solutions within Acumatica to support future growth
  • Provide recommendations to leadership on additional Acumatica system enhancements and efficiencies


Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Acumatica ERP, ideally including implementation, configuration, or optimization
  • Proven track record of driving process improvement and workflow automation within Acumatica
  • Strong understanding of the Accounts Payable lifecycle within Acumatica, with exposure to AR processes a plus
  • Experience evaluating and optimizing Acumatica system workflows and accounting processes
  • Ability to translate business needs into effective Acumatica solutions and configurations
  • Demonstrated experience documenting workflows and system processes tied to Acumatica
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly within ERP environments like Acumatica
  • Ability to work independently and drive Acumatica-related initiatives forward with minimal oversight
  • Accounting or finance background required
