Qualifications:

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:
Education:
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.
Experience:
You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are:

  • Experience working with and knowledge of statutes, regulations, permit/licensing requirements and precedent decision governing environmental operations sufficient to use in planning, implementing, and monitoring environmental compliance programs, environmental management systems, and pollution prevention programs.
  • Experience working with program principles and procedures applicable to developing and monitoring comprehensive environmental compliance programs, pollution prevention programs and environmental management systems.
  • Experience assisting in matters relating to Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA), Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Federal Insecticide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), Executive Orders, and all other environmental areas under the umbrella of a comprehensive environmental management system (EMS) to include second party certifications at facilities as they pertain to environmental matters.
  • Experience providing technical direction on environmental related issues.
