Job description

Aerospace Processing Technician

Location: Wichita, KS (Murdock & McLean facilities)

Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift openings available

Job Type: Full-Time, Mandatory OT, average 50+ hours per week

About the Role

Metal Finishing Company is hiring an Aerospace Processing Technicians across multiple production areas to support our surface finishing operations for aerospace components. This is a general posting covering several open positions. During the interview process, you'll be matched to the department and shift that best fits your skills and availability. No prior aerospace experience is required; we provide hands-on training. 

Open Areas Include:

  • Prime and Paint
  • Paint Sanding and Paint Racking
  • Anodize/Chemfilm Operators
  • Dry Blast
  • Packaging 
  • Masking
  • Shot Peen

What You'll Do

Depending on your assigned area, responsibilities may include:

  • Preparing, masking, and racking parts for coating and plating processes
  • Operating anodize, chem-film, dry blast, or shot peen equipment per work instructions and NADCAP- compliant procedures
  • Applying primer/paint coatings and performing sanding or surface prep
  • Inspecting parts for conformance to specifications
  • Packaging finished components for shipment
  • Maintaining accurate production and quality documentation

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written work instructions precrisely
  • Comfortable working with chemicals and in a manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work assigned shift
