Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Technician


BCM Supply LLC is looking for an experienced, dependable Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Technician to join our growing shop team. We maintain and repair a large fleet of heavy trucks, construction equipment, trailers, and support vehicles, and we are looking for a technician who takes pride in doing the job right the first time.

This is a hands-on position for someone who is mechanically strong, able to troubleshoot independently, and understands the importance of quality repairs, attention to detail, and keeping equipment in the field.


What You'll Do

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel and gas-powered trucks and heavy equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and aftertreatment systems
  • Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, steering, and suspension systems
  • Perform engine repairs, including in-frame and out-of-framework when necessary
  • Diagnose and repair DEF, DPF, SCR, EGR, and other emissions systems
  • Use diagnostic software and electronic service tools to accurately identify problems
  • Perform hydraulic troubleshooting and component replacement
  • Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and company standards
  • Communicate effectively with shop leadership and field personnel regarding equipment status
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work safely and follow all company safety procedures
  • Take ownership of assigned repairs from diagnosis through completion

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment technician, or similar position
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working on heavy trucks and/or construction equipment
  • Ability to read and understand service manuals, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics
  • Comfortable using diagnostic software and electronic test equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
