Responsibilities

  • Ability to promptly identify customer needs whether it is sales or service and direct them to the appropriate staff member
  • Maintain a friendly, professional and courteous attitude when working with all customers and employees
  • Answer all incoming dealership phone calls and direct customers to the correct department
  • Operate a high-volume multi-line telephone system and transferring callers to appropriate personnel
  • Notify the appropriate person that a customer is waiting, and properly introduce the customer
  • Work cooperatively with the sales team
  • Maintain showroom refreshments
  • Receive cash, checks and credit card payments from customers
  • Ability to make change accurately for cash payments
  • Handle customer complaints with integrity, poise and refer the customer to the appropriate individual for further assistance
  • Perform general administrative duties, such as filing, faxing, and data entry
  • Complete IRS/FinCEN Form 8300 for cash payments that exceed $10,000

  • Excellent listening/communication skills, outgoing and positive personality
  • Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to multi-task and handle several tasks at once
  • Must be able to handle high volume, multi-line phone system
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Dealership and/or recent retail receptionist experience (preferred)
  • Professional appearance and eager to improve on all aspects
