We are seeking a dedicated RBT and BCBA Intern (Student Analyst) to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for students pursuing applied behavior analysis to, under the clinical supervision of a BCBA, gain hands-on experience in the field through patient care. The role involves supporting clinical staff in data collection, data analysis, behavioral assessments, and treatment planning for individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment focused on improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with behavioral and skills assessments for clients with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder
  • Participate in intake procedures and contribute to developing individualized treatment plans
  • Assist with the design, implementation and monitoring of skill-acquisition goals, in addition to behavior reduction programs for clients, as assigned by supervising BCBA
  • Provide training to others, design behavioral systems, and performance management
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with caregivers and other professionals
  • Complete other activities that are directly related to behavior analysis, such as attending meetings regarding the behavior analysis program, and researching the related literature as it is relevant to clients programming
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments
  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children under the clinical direction of a BCBA. Implement treatment plans related to skill-acquisition and behavior reduction provided by the supervising BCBA
  • Collect accurate skills and behavior data on all areas targeted for intervention, as specified by the supervising BCBA
  • Assist with analysis of behavioral data and trends
  • Assist with making data-based decisions for program modifications
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Being able to lift or move approximately up to 50 lbs as some kids may be required to be lifted and/or moved and be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures such as bending, kneeling, squatting, typing, sitting, standing for extended periods of time
  • Being able to obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Maintain accurate medical/clinical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with licensed clinicians to implement evidence-based ABA strategies
Qualifications
  • 2 years of exemplary experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
  • Bachelors degree in psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and Hearing Services, or another related field.
  • Currently enrolled in an Applied Behavior Analysis Masters program approved by Able Autism Therapy Services and interested in pursuing the BCBA certification.
