Job description

Position Overview

  • This role is ideal for a BCBA who enjoys focusing on clinical assessments and initial case development without the responsibility of ongoing supervision
  • The BCBA Assessment Specialist will conduct in-person assessments in clients' homes, develop treatment recommendations, and collaborate with the internal team to support a smooth transition of cases
  • Well-suited for clinicians who prefer short-term, focused client interactions and value flexibility and independence

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive ABA assessments (such as VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, and functional behavior assessments) in clients' homes
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Complete detailed and timely clinical documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with intake and clinical teams to ensure seamless case handoff
  • Maintain compliance with all ethical and professional standards

What You Will Not Be Responsible For

  • Ongoing case supervision
  • Supervision of RBTs or BTs
  • Long-term caseload management

Qualifications

  • Active BCBA certification in good standing
  • Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or a related field
  • Experience conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
  • Strong clinical writing and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel to client homes within the assigned area
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using a variety of assessment tools
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently in a field-based role
