Job description

Citi's Banking franchise is organized around three lines of business: the Investment Bank, offers strategic and financial advisory services on a wide range of M&A transactions and capital-raising activities; the Corporate Bank, which serves as the conduit of Citi's full product suite to clients; and the Commercial Bank, which helps mid-sized companies address the challenges of rapid growth and international expansion.
The Banking Business Execution (BBE) team is responsible for developing and executing the integrated Banking strategy, managing common capabilities, and driving cross-business initiatives to achieve simplification, efficiency, and increased productivity.
Within the BBE team sits the Business Execution Lead (BEL), which is a global senior management position responsible for providing support on strategic initiatives and running essential business execution functions. The BEL will work directly with the Technology Investment Banking group heads to coordinate and manage activities such as the tracking of business performance and productivity measures, revenue and expense management, client administration, and other administrative needs, along with ad hoc projects, as necessary.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Global Group Heads in setting and implementing strategy
  • Manage client target market and conduct market share analysis
  • Work with Banking management in driving strategic initiatives related to business growth, clients, and coordinate across product groups, geographical clusters, sectors, and functional partners to drive effective change
  • Operate business processes; oversee and prepare management analyses and reporting, including KPIs
  • Streamline processes, technology, and collaborate with functional partners to build consistent policies and procedures
  • Conduct in-depth research and perform deep dives on the business; develop a strong understanding of market dynamics, emerging trends, and industry implications.
  • Numerous ad-hoc analyses and presentations for senior management, framing issues and synthesizing key findings of team analyses and recommendations
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, providing guidance and coaching, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience within Investment Banking or similar industry in a client facing, strategy, business management or consulting role is required
  • Proven experience in successfully driving strategic projects across a large matrixed organization
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, execution and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to independently own work and operate with a limited level of direct supervision
  • Consistently detail-oriented, goal-oriented and able to work in a team
  • Ability to conduct research/analysis, synthesize large sets of data and convey a clear story supported by findings; top consulting background a plus
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint expertise
  • Consistently develop and maintain effective work relationships, and work as a team
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • FINRA 79 & 63 series licenses preferred, but not required
