Location: Houston (1100) 

Salary Range: $32,355 - $38,065 

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.  

Employment Duration: Full-time 

FLSA Status: Nonexempt 

Summary

Baylor College of Medicine is located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center. Baylor College of Medicine is a health sciences university that creates knowledge and applies science and discoveries to further education, healthcare and community service locally and globally. Baylor security has the huge responsibility to keep Baylor employees, visitors, research, and Baylor property safe and secure. Baylor security is searching for an Assistant Coordinator, Security who works well with our security team in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll protect the staff, patients, visitors, and assets of the College.

Expected start date for this position is Mid-September.

Job Duties
  • Checks ID of individuals entering Baylor facilities to insure authorized entry.
  • Verifies intent of those requesting entry to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Issues temporary ID to visitors and directs them to proper destination.
  • Enforce Baylor policies within their area.
  • Assists VIP's as appropriate.
  • Escorts Baylor Staff, Faculty, Students, and others as necessary.
  • Patrols Baylor facilities.
  • Checks doors and locks to ensure area is secure.
  • Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in security.
