Job description

Registered Nurse Opportunity

Join Baylor Scott and White Medical Center โ€“ Irving as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better!

Location: Baylor Medical Center - Irving, Texas | 2001 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, 75061

Shift: Seasonal Role | 3:00pm -3:00am

Seasonal Commitment Information

COMPLETION BONUS OFFERED!!

  • Full-time Seasonal weekly requirements are three 12-hour shifts for the 13-week contract (excludes 1 st week of orientation)
  • $1,500 completion bonus for meeting minimum productive time
  • Eligible for shift differentials. $3.50 for evenings, $5 for nights, and $6 for weekends. These are stackable (as applicable by time/day)
  • The first week is Monday- Friday orientation.
  • Although this is a short term (13 week) assignment, you would be a Baylor employee (not contractual, agency, etc.). The hope is that once the assignment is concluded, you will convert to a regular FT, PT, or PRN role.

Emergency Department

Patient Population: All ages, acuities, and stages of life. Direct patient care and documentation of patients presenting to ED with variety of complaints, triage, main sections with higher acuity, Express care/fast track with lower acuity/clinic type patients. Staff rotate to various areas based on experience and training.

Patient Ratios: 4:1

Number of Beds: 55

Department Specifics : Currently seeking Level III Trauma designation, Primary Stroke Center, Primary Chest Pain Center, wonderful EMS partnership, Radiology with CT and Sono within ED, Self-Scheduling with voluntary on call, Certified Emergency Nurse fees paid, Evidence Based Practice and Process Improvement projects ongoing, Trauma training, Express Care/fast track with lower acuity/clinic type patients, Staff rotate to various areas based on experience and training.
