This position contributes to the development and qualification of advanced lithium ion battery technology for portable power consumer applications. You will work with internal multi-functional teams to develop battery firmware, algorithm and battery management system (BMS) qualification protocols using system requirements, user profiles and the battery health monitoring estimation models to ensure high level of customer experience. You will collaborate with BMS firmware and algorithm engineers to improve the quality, productivity, and efficiency of Apple products.
Description
You will be a part of a team qualifying new class of BMS algorithms and architectures to improve the utility of batteries of Apple products.
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in Battery Management System (BMS) Algorithm/Firmware/Software development, validation or related.
Experience with Python or C/C++.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree, PhD or equivalent job-related experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years experience in BMS Algorithm/Firmware/Software development or validation.
Experience with detailed Lithium-ion battery modeling and experience in working on electrical circuits.
Experience with time-series data analysis.
Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills. Excellent critical thinking and trouble shooting skills
Ability total action and drive results on tight schedules.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and cross-functional teams.
